BAKER, La. — A 31-yr-old man from Baker remains behind bars after his bond was set at $10 million and a grand jury indicted him for first-degree rape of a child. Plus, a judge has placed a hold on him until a mental health evaluation has been completed.
Christopher Morgan is facing two counts of first-degree rape with a juvenile under the age of 13 and two counts of production of child pornography.
It all came to light when a Texas undercover detective started talking to Morgan on two various apps on Jan. 4, 2023. That detective then notified Baton Rouge officials & the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office that Morgan had allegedly shared child sexual abuse pictures thinking he was conversing with a 28-yr-old woman in Montgomery County, Texas. According to officials, the pictures are of a 7 or 8-yr-old girl and additional pictures involve a 10 to 12-yr-old girl.

According to arresting documents, Morgan’s display name on one of the apps was “Danni Tha Freak” while his user name was “freakydanni21.” The profile picture to go along with the username was a “younger female buttock wearing white panties.”
The undercover detective was monitoring a group in which Morgan allegedly said that he had specific pictures and if anyone else had some, they could trade. He added “I’m a dad 31.”
Morgan and the detective, whom Morgan believes is a 28-yr-old woman, moved to private messaging on the app. Morgan allegedly told the detective that he was sexually active with a 7-yr-old girl and that a 16-yr-old girl sends him nude photos.

After that, arresting documents show Morgan sent another message saying, “I’ll send one for good faith” and that picture was child pornography. It showed a young girl holding a man’s private area with a smiley face over the girl’s face to keep from identifying her.
That’s when Morgan asked to move to another app where he’s said to have disclosed additional information about himself to the detective. He said he was from Baker, La, married and had three children. He added that he worked from home for a call center and was in the middle of writing a book on personal growth.
On this app, Morgan allegedly sent another picture with child pornography. This time, it was the same young girl giving oral sex.
Through investigative work, the undercover detective was able to track the app user to Christopher Morgan and found him to be based in Baker, Louisiana.
The next day, the undercover detective had additional pictures from Morgan in the app. According to documents, these pictures involved a girl between the ages of 10-12.
All the gathered information was turned over to Louisiana law enforcement and the Attorney General’s office.
Arrest, Bond & Indictment
Morgan was arrested immediately and is now charged with two counts of first-degree rape of a juvenile under the age of 13. First-degree rape carries a life sentence in Louisiana if convicted. He’s also facing two counts of production of child pornography.
Morgan went before Judge Tiffany Foxworth-Roberts where his bond was set at $10,100,000 with several conditions. But before Morgan could even consider making bond, the court placed a hold on him pending a mental health evaluation. After that, if he’s able to make the $10 million bond, the conditions include no contact with victim, sign up with CJS, cannot leave the jurisdiction, cannot possess firearms while out on bond & a GPS tracking device.
