A teenager has died after a shooting Friday night in Gonzales.
It happened near the Fuel Smart parking lot on Burnside Ave. Gonzales Police Officers responded to the area after a call for a shooting around 9:40pm
Mekhi Darville, 17, died from his injuries in the shooting after he was shot once. He was transported to a hospital but did not survive.
Sources say Darville had just picked up two of his friends after a football game at East Ascension High when someone shot at the trio.
