A 20-yr-old in Addis will be arrested after he’s released from a hospital.
Addis Police Chief Ricky Anderson said Tiesman Trufant Jr., 20, shot himself in the calf Wednesday night, June 29th, around 11:45pm at a home on Kim Dr.
“He had an AR-15 pistol with a 30 mag in his pants. He was trying to hide it from his parents,” said Chief Anderson. “When he got home, he somehow snagged the trigger and blew off his calf.”
Trufant was taken to a hospital.
Through the course of the investigation, officers learned the pistol was stolen out of Brusly at the end of 2021. It’s why when he’s released from the hospital, Trufant will be charged with one count of felony possession of stolen goods.
How would you like to be those parents? They obviously cared enough that the kid was scared they would find the gun. I feel for them. Hopefully the kid learned not to hide guns in his pants, or at least to put the safety on before he does so.
