20-yr-old shot, killed as dozens of shots fired at a home

BATON ROUGE —- A 20-yr-old man was shot and killed while in a bedroom at a home on Howell Range Ave.

The shooting happened around 10:45pm on Tuesday, Oct. 3 in the 6200 block of Howell Range Ave., between Prescott Rd. & Winbourne Ave.

Baton Rouge Police officers arrived to the scene to find dozens of shell casings in front of the home with dozens of shots fired at the home.

Inside the home, officers found 20-yr-old Sedrick Wells who had been found shot multiple times. He was rushed to a hospital but did not survive his injuries.

The scene where the shooting took place shows evidence markers all throughout the front of the home, especially what appears to be a bedroom.

At this time, police do not have any suspects or a motive. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
