21-yr-old attempts robbery at gunpoint & steals fountain drink

Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 21-yr-old for an armed robbery in Albany overnight, but the man only walked away with a fountain drink, valued below $5.

It was just before 2:00 am on February 17, 2023 when LPSO deputies were called to respond to a Albany convenience store in the 28,000 block of La 43 for an armed robbery.

“Deputies learned a suspect entered the store & removed a gun from his waistline while checking out,” said LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard. “The suspect then demanded money. When the suspect learned there were little to no funds available, he left. The only thing he did take with him was a Polar Pop fountain drink (valued under $5.00). The suspect then fled the scene.”

Deputies were able to locate & identify the suspect as Jeremiah Desean Frazier, 21, of Tickfaw. His clothes, mask and gun were recovered.

He was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
