A 23-year-old from Mandeville has been arrested and is facing a long list of charges.
On Oct. 11, 2022, shortly before 4:00 pm, State Police Troopers tried to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 12 in Walker.
The driver, identified as Trevell Hills, 23, of Mandeville, did not stop according to officials and instead fled.
While fleeing, Hills allegedly merged into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle head-on at the Colyell Creek Bridge on LA-16. There were three passengers in the vehicle with Hills and one victim in the vehicle Hills hit. All four were transported to area hospitals with minor to moderate injuries.
Hills also had minor injuries and will be booked into the Livingston Parish Jail upon his release from the hospital.
This investigation remains ongoing.

R.S. 32:861- No Insurance
R.S. 32:52- No Driver’s License
