28-year-old shot and killed in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La: A 28-year-old male was shot and killed Dec. 19th on Dougherty Dr. in Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting of Timothy Stewart. Stewart was shot and killed around 9:30a.m. on Dec. 19 after an alleged fight.

Detectives believe Stewart was in a physical altercation with an unknown person inside the business.

Following the shooting, Stewart died at the scene.

There are currently no known suspects or motives.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on the shooting should call the BRPD Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
