The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the 20100 block of Tucker Road at 1:30am Thursday morning.
The driver, Marquita Jackson, 38, died at the scene. The passenger was transported for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Officials said Jackson was headed northbound on Tucker Road when she left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned.
It does not appear the driver was wearing a seatbelt. Impairment is not suspected at this time.
