4-yr-old shows up to hospital with gunshot wound

Around 6:30pm on Thursday, May 26th, Baton Rouge Police responded to an area hospital for a toddler who showed up shot.

The 4-yr-old was shot in the leg, possibly at Erie & Scenic, but was not transported by an ambulance.

The toddler showed up at a hospital by private vehicle. The 4-yr-old injury is considered non-life threatening.

Sources said the gun belonged to a family member and that it was an accidental shooting.
