ST. FRANCISVILLE — A woman died after a crash on Hwy. 66 in West Feliciana Parish on Monday morning.
The crash happened just after 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, according to Louisiana State Police. Troopers responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 66 near Solitude Road.
Tammy Neames, 65, of St. Francisville, died at the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals that Neames was driving a 2019 Ram 1500 east on Hwy. 66 this morning. For reasons still under investigation, she went off the roadway to the right into a ditch before hitting a private driveway. After hitting the driveway, Neames’ vehicle overturned.
While Neames was properly restrained, she had serious injuries and died at the scene. Troopers do not suspect impairment; however, a routine toxicology sample was taken.
This crash remains under investigation.
