71-yr-old killed on Burbank, officials searching for two vehicles

Ethel Wesley, 71, was crossing Burbank Dr. near Bluebonnet on Jan. 20th around 7:15pm when she was hit by two vehicles and killed.

It happened in the 10400 block of Burbank Dr.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies say according to witness statements and video, Wesley crossed the westbound lane of Burbank on foot and was then hit by two vehicles, one after another.

One vehicle is believed to be a 2009-2011 dark-colored BMW. Both vehicles may have moderate to heavy front-end damage.

The two vehicles were headed eastbound on Burbank toward Bluebonnet Blvd. Neither vehicle stopped to render aid or notify emergency personnel after hitting the pedestrian.

Wesley was transported for treatment, but later pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.
