BATON ROUGE — A pedestrian was killed while trying to cross a busy Highway in Baton Rouge Wednesday night.
Balwant Bhai Patel, 72, was crossing Airline Hwy. near Gwenadele Ave. around 9:30pm on Aug. 16th.
That’s when officials say a vehicle hit him leaving him critical.
Patel was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. However, he did not survive his injuries.
Baton Rouge Police is the lead into the investigation. It’s unclear at this time if BRPD has any suspects or if any arrests have been made in connection to the pedestrian struck and killed.
