74-yr-old with Alzheimer’s missing since last Saturday

BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing man with Alzheimer’s.

He’s been identified as Joseph Kinchen, 74.

EBRSO officials say Kinchen was last seen leaving a business in the 9300 block of Cortana Place on Sept. 30, 2023 at 10:15pm. He was on foot and last seen walking from the business towards Tom Drive.

He’s described as a white man, last seen wearing an orange shirt and black pants with white stripes on the legs. Kinchen is approximately 5’11, approximately 180 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes.

Deputies say the missing man suffers from Alzheimer’s and diabetes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 389-5000.
