CENTRAL — A crash Thursday evening in Central has left three people injured, one of whom is fighting for their life.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. in the 12000 block of Lovett Rd. near Prairie Dr. in Central.
Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran said their preliminary investigation reveals one vehicle crossed over the center line into the path of an oncoming vehicle. That triggered a head-on crash between the two vehicles. What led up to the crash remains under investigation.
One vehicle had a husband and wife inside and both were rushed to a hospital. Both are in serious condition. The other vehicle had a woman inside and she too was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition.
Lovett Rd. remains shut down near the crash site and officials say it will be a while before they finish investigating the crash and cleaning up the scene. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash with one ending up in a nearby ditch.
