Angola corrections officer arrested, accused of hiding drugs in chips bags

A 53-yr-old woman from Bay St. Louis was arrested and has resigned from the Louisiana State Penitentiary for allegedly bringing drugs into Angola.

On July 15th, a search of Alisa Plessy, a correctional officer at the time, revealed nearly 17 ounces of methamphetamines hidden in potato chip bags, according to the Louisiana Dept. of Corrections.

DOC said correctional officers were able to prevent the drugs from getting into the prison population.

West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Plessy & charged her with possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.

Plessy resigned prior to her arrest. She was a corrections Sergeant and had worked at Angola since October 25, 2021.
