GONZALES — Following an investigation lasting several months, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics detectives arrested two men for illegal drug activity and seized drugs, including 60 grams of fentanyl. According to the DEA, that’s enough to press 30,000 pills.
The investigation resulted in the arrests of Leroy Joseph Manor, 39, of Donaldsonville and Jeremiah Julien Millien, 44, of Donaldsonville. The men were arrested in different locations and both were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Ascension Parish Narcotics detectives, along with other agencies, began investigating Manor and Millien after receiving information about alleged illegal drug activity, officials said.
After an investigation that lasted several months, detectives executed search warrants at locations within Donaldsonville, Geismar, and Gonzales, where they recovered the following illegal drugs and other items.
The following arrests and charges were made:
Leroy Manor:
- Possession of schedule II CDS – Oxycodone
- Sale, distribution, or possession of a legend drug – Promethazine
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Xanex
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Fentanyl
Jeremiah Millien:
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Methamphetamine
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS – Marijuana
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Fentanyl
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Crack Cocaine
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Cocaine
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Oxycodone
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Hydrocodone
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS – Fentanyl
- Sale, distribution, or possession of a legend drug – Promethazine
- Possession of schedule III CDS – Suboxone
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Illegal carrying of weapons with CDS
- Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies
The following items were seized from the search warrant locations:
- 64 grams of fentanyl
- 58 grams of methamphetamine
- 10 grams of cocaine
- 25 grams of crack cocaine
- 31 dosage units of oxycodone
- 100 dosage units of hydrocodone
- 21 grams of marijuana
- 1 dosage unit of suboxone
- 22 fluid ounces of promethazine
- 60 dosage units of xanex
- $9,892.00 in cash
- 1 AR-15 rifle
- Handgun
