Man critical after overnight shooting in Livingston Parish

LIVINGSTON — A man is in critical condition after an overnight shooting in Livingston Parish.

The 26-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound around 2 a.m. on Arnold Rd. near Denham Springs. The victim, who has not been identified by deputies, was taken to a local hospital.

Livingston Parish sheriff’s investigators say Cole Allen, 24 of Baton Rouge, has been charged with attempted second degree murder and resisting an officer. He’s been booked in the Livingston Parish jail.
