Arrest made in deadly shooting at apartment complex near LSU

BATON ROUGE — An arrest has been made four months after a deadly shooting at an apartment complex near the LSU campus.

Darrius Janatsch, 21, was arrested by Baton Rouge Police homicide detectives and the U.S. Marshal’s task force.

Janatsch shot and killed Tyren Henderson, 21, four days before Christmas, according to BRPD. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was charged with second-degree murder.

Janatsch faces additional charges from LSU police and the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for unrelated incidents, according to BRPD. They did not elaborate on those additional charges.

Henderson was gunned down at the Lark Baton Rouge Apartments, an off-campus apartment complex around 7:45 a.m. on December 21.
