Arrest made in homicide on Thomas Delpit

A man was arrested a charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing a Baton Rouge resident on June 16, 2022.

Baton Rouge police arrested Donald Stevenson, 63, in connection with the shooting death of Jeffery Follins, 50, on Thomas Delpit Drive.

Deputies responded to the shooting where they found Follins with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died from the injuries.

Officials say they don’t know the motive behind the shooting.
