Arrest made in teen’s deadly beating case

EDMOND REVELLE

Edmond Revelle, 20, has turned himself into the Baton Rouge Police Dept. in connection to the beating death of Hayes Sellers.

Sellers, 18, was on Nebraska St. around 2am on May 8, 2022 attempting to break up an argument in the church parking lot when BRPD says Revelle beat him.

Sellers was “gravely injured” when Revelle allegedly used his fist to hit Sellers. Sellers was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He fought hard to survive his injuries but lost that battle on Sunday, May 15th, exactly a week after he was beaten.

Revelle was initially arrested, charged and bonded out after the beating. After Sellers died, the charge was upgraded to second-degree murder. On May 18, Revelle turned himself into BRPD for Sellers’ beating death.

Jayce Lambert was arrested yesterday for principal to second-degree murder. That means Lambert is accused of assisting Revelle in Sellers’ beating death.
