NEW ROADS — An arrest was made Thursday in the shooting death of a 26-year-old man on Oct. 8.
Officials say Jacobey Thomas, 19. was arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of Joshua Porche that took place on Delta Place Road on Oct. 8.
Thomas with charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. He was booked in the Pointe Coupee Parish Detention Center. Officials say a 17-year-old female was arrested and charged with principal to second-degree murder.
Authorities received the 911 call just before midnight about shots fired in the area and a man laying on the ground in front of a home on Delta Place Road.
When officers arrived, Porche was found dead at the home.
