Arrests pending after Livonia High fight leaves teenager injured

LIVONIA — Two teenagers may be facing criminal charges after a fight at Livonia High School left a student with a broken jaw, UWK has learned.

The fight unfolded at the school on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 where UWK has learned a girl allegedly threw a drink at a male student, which may have triggered the fight. The girl was left with a broken jaw. She has now undergone surgery for her injuries.

The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office does have a deputy at the school, who serves as the school resource officer. Deputies are now investigating exactly what happened and have said arrests are pending.

Further details, including names of the students, have not been released at this time given their juvenile status.
