Arson investigator shoots man after attempted break-in

Officials say the man was naked and allegedly trying to break into the arson investigator's vehicle when he was shot.

The shooting on Eddie Robinson Sr. Dr. on Jan. 18th involved a Baton Rouge Fire Department arson investigator.

It happened around Noon with officials saying the man was allegedly trying to break into the investigator’s vehicle, where there was an AR-15. Officials did not specify what exactly led up to the shooting.

Sources did tell Unfiltered with Kiran the man who was shot may have been under the influence and was naked at the time of the shooting. 

Per standard procedure, the arson investigator has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation from BRPD.
