GONZALES — Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 17-year-old for two counts of attempted second-degree murder after a shooting on Prairie South Drive Thursday morning. Jeaon Pindexter of Gonzales is accused of shooting two other juveniles on March 27.
Around 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, deputies responded to a shooting at a home on Prairie South Drive. According to officials, two juvenile males were in a vehicle leaving their driveway when another person approached them and began shooting.
Both of the victims were treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In their investigation, Ascension Parish deputies identified Jeaon Pindexter as a suspect. They also believe all three boys knew each other.
Pindexter is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
