ASCENSION — A 25-yr-old was killed Friday night on I-10 in a deadly wreck.
Louisiana State Police Troopers responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 10 near LA Hwy 73 in Ascension Parish around 10pm on April 14.
Evan Newman, 25, of Baton Rouge was killed in the crash.
Newman was in a 2006 Nissan Titan and driving west on Interstate 10. Newman for some reason went off the interstate and hit an embankment, before hitting a tree.
Newman was not buckled and died on the scene.
As part of the ongoing investigation, a routine toxicology sample was obtained from Newman for analysis.
This crash remains under investigation.
