Ascension investigating morning homicide in Donaldsonville

Ascension Parish deputies responded to a homicide in the Bunn Hood neighborhood in Donaldsonville.

It happened Friday morning around 6:30 on Woodland Dr. with sources saying dozens of rounds were fired.

Officials say David Washington Jr., 31, was in his vehicle when he was short several times.

Several shell casings were found around the scene.

The name of the deceased has not been released at this time pending notification of family.
