GONZALES —- A 50-year-old Gonzales man was arrested, accused of shooting and killing his wife.
Sean Morris, 50, is charged with second-degree murder for the killing of his wife Brenda Morris, 44.
It was Wednesday, June 26, around 7:30 pm when Ascension Parish deputies responded to a shooting along Garcon Road in Gonzales.
Upon arrival, deputies found Brenda Morris dead from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Sean Morris’ wife, also of Gonzales.
During their investigation, detectives say Morris allegedly shot his wife after an argument. He was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Morris is charged with second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons and eight counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
