The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman whose body was found on Friday evening in a container as Crystal Scott, 24, of Ascension Parish.
APSO Sheriff Bobby Webre said there were no signs of a gunshot, stabbing or visual trauma to the body. An autopsy will have to confirm her cause of death. Sources said Scott may have died from an overdose, but the person(s) with her may not have known what to do with a body. Out of fear, sources added that it looks like the person(s) may have stuffed the body in a rubbermaid container and dumped the container in a broken down truck.
That truck was broken down on a dead end street off Bayou Narcisse. When a group of people went “dumpster diving,” they took the container but to their surprise, found Scott’ body stuffed inside. They called the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office around 5pm on Jan. 28th.
APSO has also put out pictures and names of the three persons of interest in connection to Scott’s body found.

All three are wanted for questioning in the case.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed Scott’s body was found Friday, Jan. 28th in Ascension Parish.
