PRAIRIEVILLE — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection to stolen guns during the burglary at Hebert Guns in Prairieville.
In total however, deputies said they were looking for five men accused of stealing guns from a firearm store early Monday morning.
APSO officials say deputies responded to the burglary at Hebert Guns on Airline Highway around 4:20 a.m. When deputies arrived, they noticed damage to the inside and outside of the building.
Officials say detectives later learned that five men entered the building after crashing a stolen truck through the entrance. The masked suspects are caught on surveillance cameras stealing several handguns and long guns before leaving.
So far, Darrel Morris, 22, and Quendell Jones, 18, both of Convent, have been arrested. Morris was found at a housing complex on Highland Rd. in Baton Rouge. He’s charged with simple burglary, 20 counts of theft of a firearm, 20 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony damage to property and criminal street gangs.
Meanwhile, Jones was found at an apartment on Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan. He’s charged with simple burglary, 20 counts of theft of firearm and felony damage to property.

Deputies are currently looking for at least three more people who were caught on surveillance video.
