GONZALES — Three men were arrested last week following an investigation into the Yezzin Ammuri drug distribution network, according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO). A local smoke shop in Geismar, along with a Prairieville storage unit, and two homes were searched as part of the investigation.
At the Diganja Smoke Shop, the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) seized more than 650 unapproved products.
On Aug. 19, Ascension Parish Narcotics detectives executed four search warrants: the Almighty Storage in Prairieville, Diganja Smoke Shop in Geismar, an apartment on Dutchtown Point Avenue in Gonzales, and a home on Oak Run Drive in Geismar.
As part of these searches, detectives arrested three people and seized marijuana, cocaine, THC vape products, kratom, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription medication, additional controlled substances, two firearms (one that was reported stolen), and an undisclosed amount of cash, per APSO. Agents seized 676 products at the smoke shop alone.

All three suspects were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
