Atomic Burger is coming to Prairieville. Here’s what you need to know about the chain’s third La. location

PRAIRIEVILLE — Following the success of its first Baton Rouge-area location, the New Orleans-based burger joint Atomic Burger will soon open in Ascension Parish.

Construction for the third Louisiana location is currently underway at the site of the former Investar Bank off Airline Hwy, across from La. 42. It is the latest addition to a thriving restaurant area in Prairieville and will be situated next to Hot Tails, Hannah Q, Jimmy John’s, Geisha, Sushi with Flair, and Agave Blue Tequila & Taco Bar.

What is Atomic Burger?

Atomic Burger is known for its freshly ground in-house burgers, hand-cut fries, and liquid nitrogen-chilled shakes.

The menu focuses on four signature burgers: The Atomic Burger, Green Chile Burger, Jam Burger, and Mushroom Swiss Burger. Additionally, there is a fried chicken sandwich that can be made Nashville Hot, as well as a chili cheese dog.

You can choose from a classic burger or sliders. The restaurants fries come with a variety of dipping sauces from truffle mayo and spicy ketchup to sriracha mayo and roasted garlic aioli.

When will it open?

This will mark Atomic Burger’s first location in Ascension Parish and its third in South Louisiana. Although an opening date for the Prairieville location has not been announced, construction is nearing completion.

The chain’s other Baton Rouge location, situated at 5909 Creek Centre Dr., operates seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to midnight.

What else is coming to Ascension Parish?

Ascension Parish has seen the addition of several new restaurants in recent months, with ongoing developments at the mixed-use Heritage Crossing development in Gonzales.

Crumbl Cookies is set to open in early February, and Sonny’s BBQ will also soon become part of the bustling new development.

Crumbl Cookies, known for its 170+ rotating unique cookies in the famous pink box, already has a location on Siegen Ln. in Baton Rouge and in Juban Crossing in Denham Springs.

Florida-based Sonny’s BBQ is expanding its chain by opening a new restaurant in Heritage Crossing. This will be the BBQ chain’s second Baton Rouge-area location.
