New details released on two women found dead in East Baton Rouge Parish Thursday

BATON ROUGE — Autopsies are scheduled for Friday morning after the bodies of two females were found in East Baton Rouge Parish Thursday.

Macy Peebles, 27, was found dead along GSRI Ave. near Burbank Dr., officials confirmed.

Another woman’s body was found in a grassy area in the 3000 block of King Bradford Dr., East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms. Her identity is being withheld as investigators notify her family.

The two scenes are roughly 12 miles apart and are not believed to be connected. Officials say the autopsies will help them determine cause and motive of deaths.
