Balloon release honors Brusly’s stabbing victim

There was a balloon release on March 31, 2022 in Brusly, La in West Baton Rouge Parish where Myiesha Adams’ body was found.

On Sunday, March 27, West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies found Robert Washington’s body in his home around 10:30am after he did not show up to work.

Then around 1pm, someone passing by thought they saw a body and reported it to deputies. That’s when deputies found Adams’ body behind Washington’s home near the old Fred’s in Brusly.

Adams was 29 years old. She leaves behind three children. Dozens of people gathered where her body was found on Thursday evening supporting Adams’ favorite colors of pink, white & yellow either in their clothes they wore or in the color of balloons released. The exact place her body was found is now marked with a cross.

The balloon release was held the same evening as the suspect, Kevin Craig, was charged with Adams & Washington’s murders.
