BATON ROUGE —- Baton Rouge Police are requesting any information into a double shooting that left a teenager and her grandmother shot.
It was after 5 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2025 when BRPD officers responded to a shooting in the 5500 block of St. Gerard Avenue. That’s near Airline Highway in the Merrydale area.
Officers found two victims at the scene, a grandmother and her 14 year old granddaughter. Both victims had non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
BRPD has not released any further details into how the two ended up shot.
