BATON ROUGE — A teenager who died after an overnight shooting has been identified as a Scotlandville High student.
Joshua Robinson, Jr., 17, was found with multiple gunshot wounds just after midnight in the 8100 block of Plank Road. He was critically injured, and died at a hospital a short time later.
A second teenager shot at the same time went on his own to a different hospital.
The Scotlandville High post called Robinson’s death a “tragic loss” and told students that help is available if they need it.
“As we remember Joshua, let us also remember the importance of caring for one another, checking on our friends, and leaning on our school community for strength. It is important that we come together to support one another with compassion, care, and respect,” the message ead.
Anyone with information on the double shooting is asked to call Baton Rouge Police or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
