Baton Rouge: Four shootings in roughly six hours | Two people killed including teen and a woman

BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police officers had a busy Monday responding to two deadly shootings and two other shootings, where people were injured.

In total, five people were shot on March 10, 2025. Two of them died and a third person remains in critical condition. BRPD does not believe any of the four shootings are connected to each other.

The first was around 2:50 p.m. at 1951 Bradfield Ave. That’s just off Scotland Ave. Two people are believed to have gotten into an argument and a 17-year-old was shot and died from his injuries. He’s been identified as Anthony Robinson. UWK has learned Robinson and a friend got off a school bus when a 16-year-old started shooting at the pair. Robinson was hit multiple times and died. Police say the 16-year-old who is accused of shooting Robinson, had an ongoing, prior argument. That teenager was later arrested by EBRSO deputies and has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of weapons.

Roughly an hour later, two people showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Both are expected to survive and had non-life threatening injuries. It happened in the 400 block of W. Johnson St. That’s west of I-10 and nestled between Highland Rd. & Nicholson Dr. Multiple rounds were fired off and even hit a nearby home that was occupied with several people inside.

Then, just before 8 p.m., some people walking happened to come across a Hispanic man, who had been shot in the chest on Rembrandt Avenue. He remains in critical condition at this time. No further details have been released into this shooting.
