BATON ROUGE — A woman arrested earlier this year in connection with a deadly Baton Rouge hit-and-run crash is now facing new charges that allegedly occurred while she was out on bond.
Police arrested Taquencya Lashaun Harris in April after a crash that left one person dead and three others injured. Investigators say Harris was driving the vehicle that hit the victims.
At the time of her latest arrest, Harris was out on bond for two counts of felony hit and run and obstruction of justice. She was taken into custody again on Sept. 12 for second-degree battery.
A week later, on Sept. 18, Harris was formally indicted for manslaughter, two counts of hit and run with serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.
During a bond revocation hearing on Oct. 15, her bond was set at $250,000 for the manslaughter and related charges, and $50,000 for the second-degree battery charge.
