Baton Rouge: One person dies in two-vehicle crash on O’Neal Lane

BATON ROUGE — O’Neal Lane has reopened after a deadly crash earlier in the day in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The wreck involved two vehicles and happened just before 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26. The crash was on O’Neal Ave. near Centurion Ave.

Two people were rushed to hospitals, one of them in critical condition. One person has since died from their injuries. Their name has not been released at this time.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash. O’Neal Lane was shut down in both directions to north and southbound traffic between Old Hammond Hwy. and Centurion Ave, during the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
