Baton Rouge: Man found dead inside vehicle that had been shot up

BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police are investigating the city’s latest homicide that happened early Saturday morning.

It was around 7:45 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2023 when BRPD officers were called out to Lanier Dr. off of Greenwell Springs Rd.

Officers arrived to find a vehicle that had been shot multiple times with bullet holes all over the vehicle. A 20-yr-old inside the vehicle died at the scene after he was hit by several of the bullets.

Sources tell UWK the deceased had borrowed his father’s car but when he did not return home, they got worried. They then found him by finding his location on his cell phone.

It’s unclear at this time what led up to the shooting or if any arrests have been made.
