BATON ROUGE — Officials have arrested another person in connection with a deadly shooting that left one man dead at a home on Geronimo St. on April 6th. Paul Thomas was arrested at his job site in St. Landry Parish on June 10th on an active warrant by BRPD.
On Thursday, June 12, Thomas was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of accessory after the fact of second degree murder.
19-year-old Joshua Mancusi-Ungaro was arrested in April and charged with second degree murder and illegal use of weapons for the shooting death of a 40-year-old man on Geronimo St. Later, detectives arrested Hazel Mancusi-Ungaro, 37, for helping Joshua stay out of Baton Rouge after the murder.
She was arrested by the Krotz Springs Police Department in May on an active warrant by BRPD for accessory after the fact of second degree murder. She was later transported to Baton Rouge.
It was around 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 6th when Baton Rouge Police responded to the 3900 block of Geronimo St.
Upon arrival, they found a man, who died after he had been shot multiple times. He was identified as 40-year-old Kevin Dale Evans.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
