BATON ROUGE — A 16-year-old & 17-year-old have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that took place around 3:15 p.m. in the Scotlandville area.
It was after 3 p.m. on Monday, June 30th when officials responded to a call for a shooting near Avenue J and Woodpecker St., that’s west of Scenic Highway. When officials arrived, they found a man shot multiple times and died on the scene. The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Victor Lapharohs.
The 16-year-old teenager was arrested on July 3rd, but due to his age, his name will not be released. He’s been charged with principal to second-degree murder. He’s being housed at the Juvenile Detention Center. It’s unclear what this 16-year-old’s alleged role was in the deadly shooting.
On July 4, 17-year-old Eddie Monroe was also arrested for his alleged involvement. He’s charged with second-degree murder.
