BATON ROUGE —- Officers are investigating after a possible human skull was found in a park in Baton Rouge late Tuesday night.
It was around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 13th when Baton Rouge Police officers were requested at the Monte Sano BREC Park on Greenwell St. after someone called in saying they believed they found human remains.
Upon arrival, officers believe they did find a skull, but no other parts.
The LSU FACES Lab usually steps in to help officers confirm the remains found are indeed human and to determine the identity of the person. That process can take several weeks.
Anyone with information on the possible human skull is asked to call the Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
