BATON ROUGE — Multiple shots rang out on Dalton St. Tuesday afternoon killing one person.
It was around 4 p.m. in the 3300 block of Dalton St. near N. Acadian Thruway when several shots were fired.
A man was hit in the head by a bullet. He was rushed to a hospital but died from his injuries.
Officials say the scene is widespread with multiple shell casings that detectives must now document and go through for crime scene analysis.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information on the deadly shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
