BATON ROUGE — Four people were injured in a shooting that happened overnight on Sunday on Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge.
It was around 3:40 a.m. on Jan. 18th when officers responded to 11674 Florida Blvd. for a shooting, that’s just east of Sherwood Forest Blvd. Details on what led up to the shooting are still being sorted out but officers learned of one shooting victim at first. Then, officers were told possibly two more showed up at a local hospital by private vehicle. By this time, officers found another person shot on the scene.
Two people were transported from the scene to a hospital, one in stable condition and the other was listed in serious condition.
At this time, BRPD believes they had a total of four people shot. UWK has learned one of the four took a bullet to the head.
It’s unclear if any suspect(s) are in custody at this time.
