BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened close to midnight Wednesday, Aug. 12. BRPD officers responded to a shooting in the 3400 block of Wayne Drive.
The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Billy Smith.
At this time, no details have been released into what led up to the shooting or if BRPD has made any arrests in the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
