BATON ROUGE —- One person was shot multiple times Sunday night and died from his injuries. Officials say a second person was also transported from the scene.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on Hollywood Street on May 24 with another scene near Douglas Avenue and Beech St., by I-110 north of Evangeline Street.
Baton Rouge Police say 20-year-old Johnathan Chambers took multiple bullets and was transported in critical condition. He later died from his injuries. A woman was also injured and was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No details have been provided at this time on what led up to the shooting or if anyone is in custody at this time.
