Baton Rouge: Three women shot overnight with one dead

BATON ROUGE — A frantic call overnight reported three people had been shot and were inside a home.

It was around 3:45 am on Wednesday, Feb. 28 when BRPD officers responded to the 4800 block of Underwood Ave., that’s off of N. Foster Dr. & Choctaw Dr.

Three women were shot inside a home, one of them died after she was shot in the head. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Destiny Buckley. Two others were transported to a hospital. One of the two transported is in critical condition.

It’s unclear at this time what led up to the shooting or if any arrests have been made.

The shooting remains under investigation.

It comes after a violent few days in Baton Rouge with multiple shootings and murders.
