Baton Rouge: Triple shooting at apartment complex leaves two dead

BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge Police officers are investigating a triple shooting in which two people have died.

The calls came in around 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 for a shooting at an apartment complex on Sherwood Hollow Court.

UWK is told multiple shots were fired and at least three people were hit from the gunfire. Two people died and one person was transported to a hospital for their injuries. Their current condition is unknown at this time.

It’s unclear at this time what led up to the shooting or what exactly happened. The names of the two people who died have not been released at this time.

Anyone with information on the triple shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.

This is at least the second triple shooting in Baton Rouge in Jan. 2024. Earlier in the month, an ongoing feud led up to a triple shooting with a child shot. It’s unclear at this time if that case has been solved or if any arrests have been made in the case.
