Baton Rouge: Two people injured in drive-by shooting

BATON ROUGE —- Two people were hospitalized after they were shot while in a car.

It was around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8 when BRPD and EMS responded to the 2800 block of Scenic Highway for a shooting. That’s right off of I-110 and Chippewa St.

Early reports are that the two people were driving on Scenic Highway in a Dodge Challenger when the occupant(s) in another vehicle starting shooting at them.

Both people in the Challenger had been shot when officials found them. Both were rushed to an area hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

At this time, it’s unclear what led up to the shooting or if any arrests have been made.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
