Bicyclist cited after hitting Livingston Sheriff Deputy’s SUV

DENHAM SPRINGS — Denham Springs Police officers cited a bicyclist after they say he hit a Livingston Parish Sheriff’s SUV.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon near Hatchell Ln. & Florida Blvd.

Denham Police say the deputy was driving southbound on Hatchell Ln. and turning westbound onto Florida Blvd. That’s when police say the bicyclist came from across Florida Blvd. and hit the Livingston Sheriff Deputy’s SUV on the driver side’s door.

Officials added the bicyclist was riding in between cars when the rider came upon the LPSO deputy and hit the Tahoe.

Denham Police said the bicyclist was cited for improper lane usage. No one was injured in the accident.
